Tom Von Hemert

Coach Tom joined our coaching staff in the Spring of 2015. He started rowing at T.C. Williams High School as an 8th grader and was the Varsity Men’s Crew Captain and Outstanding Rower of the Year in his senior year.  Tom rowed four years at Boston University and was the captain of the men’s crew program.  He has rowed and coached at numerous Rowing Clubs over the last 30 years:   Potomac BC, Occoquan BC, University of Virginia Crew, London RC, Rivanna RC, Virginia BC, and Beaver Creek BC.  He currently works for the Charlottesville City Police Department. ​
