Albemarle Rowing was established in 2012 to develop high school age rowers. Our rowers have been top performers at regional, state, and national levels bringing recognition to Albemarle Rowing as a highly competitive and distinguished sculling program. As a team our rowers are developing more than rowing skills, they are developing lifelong skills like time management, discipline, perseverance, tenacity, determination, and humility.

AHS Crew Boosters

Albemarle High School Crew Boosters is a nonprofit corporation that supports the Albemarle Rowing Team. This corporation is made up by us, the parents of rowers. We are the ones that manage assets, help fund raise, and organize events for the team.

Boathouse

Albemarle Rowing practices on the scenic Rivanna Reservoir out of the Thomas Temple Allan Boathouse at the Magruder Dent, Jr. Rowing Center. The Center, which we share with the Rivanna Rowing Club (RRC) and UVA's rowing programs, is situated on a hill overlooking the reservoir. We have approximately 5 miles of navigable, protected water with no power boat traffic.
