Hilary Kerner

Coach Hilary recently joined the AHS coaching staff and is excited to be part of the AHS Rowing community. She has been rowing for over 30 years starting with sweep rowing through the Rivanna Rowing Club then competing frequently at the masters level, earning numerous national championships. After 8+ years of sweep, she transitioned to sculling through first attending Craftsbury Sculling Camp (in Vermont), and has subsequently competed in the top tier of masters sculling regattas for numerous years. She has medaled at US Master’s Nationals (in the 8+, 4x and 2x), Masters Henley Regatta (in the 8+) and is a two-time silver medallist at the Head of the Charles (in the women’s masters 2X). She has served on the RRC Board of Directors twice, and her coaching experience includes varsity women’s tennis and varsity women’s basketball at St. Anne’s-Belfield School. She currently works for the UVA School of Education and Human Development as Director of Career Services.
